A new brand and a new development approach to Master-level learning activities at Centria. Centria Master School provides us with opportunities to renew and widen learning opportunities, and also to enhance cooperation and interaction between Master-level study programmes.

Centria University of Applied Sciences has been very successful in the implementation of its Master-level study programmes. Also, in the annual national surveys, the graduating students have ranked Centria’s Master-level programmes with the highest scores of all the universities of applied sciences in Finland.

Still, based on the principle of continuous development, Centria is constantly further developing both the supply and the content of Master-level studies. Centria Master School is our new brand that coordinates and combines our Master-level studies and their development activities. As a result of the launch of Centria Master School, curricula of our Master-level study programmes have also been renewed and updated. The aim is to be able to respond even better than before to the changing needs of the work-life and businesses.

Centria Master School provides us with opportunities to renew and widen learning opportunities, and also to enhance cooperation and interaction between Master-level study programmes. Also, it enables the organization of different support and other activities that are especially targeted to our Master-level students. The aim and vision is to improve continuously and to be a future-oriented, constantly developing, and well-respected provider of high-quality Master education.

The focus of Centria Master Studies is especially to provide solutions to expertise, management and leadership in the rapidly changing environment. The learning objectives are a combination of accurate academic knowledge and highly practically-oriented expertise and development skills. The aim is to combine theory and practice, based on the focus and profile of each Master programme. The studies provide skills and competencies to both expert work and management/leaderhip positions and roles. The learning activities are a combination of more teacher-led activities, interactive group learning exercises, and practice-oriented development assignments, examples, cases etc. Generally, a strength of the Master-level degrees at Centria is practice-orientation, and the particular focus on applied knowledge and skills. In addition, the Master’s Thesis can provide significant development opportunities both to the student and the commissioner.
